Texbrasil brings 15 international journalists to Fashion Rio
Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Export Program), developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), supports the A/W edition of Fashion Rio – between November 7th and 9th at Pier Maua – through the invitation of 15 international journalists. The list includes names like Elisabeta Tudor and Regis Colin, from Standard and Now Fashion, Remi Kuzniewski, from Le Monde, Tommaso Palazzi and Marta Casadei, from ClassTV and Vogue, respectively, and Helen Jennings, from The Guardian. In the same period, the trade show Rio-a-Porter happens also with the support of Texbrasil, which will bring six international buyers.
This week, Luminosidade, the organizing, presented the line-up. With less days than the previous five, due to the adjustment of this year’s calendar, fashion week from Rio de Janeiro will have fewer shows. It will be six presentations per day, apart from Rio Moda Hype, contest that will have 50 new looks by Cinthia Madero and Mell Barbosa, from Enkb; Patricia Gimenez; Sann Marcuccy; Bruna Santini, from Unak; and Ana Wambier and Daniella Sabbag, from Wasabi.
Cantao, Coven, Melk Z-Da, New Order, Printing and Giulia Borges, which have modelled last year, will not be present. New Order, Totem, Melk Z-Da, Maria Bonita Extra, Coven and Reserva, names on the last edition, will not present their collections either. The novelty is the return of the Aquastudio, by Esther Bauman, who opens the season.
The stage design will have the signature of the illustrator Filipe Jardim, who has the Rio de Janeiro universe as an inspiration under the general theme of the event: “Rio Fashion Party”.
