Texbrasil companies do USD 7 million in business at Colombiatex
The group of 22 Brazilian companies that took part in the 28th edition of Colombiatex from January 26 to 28, in Medellin, had lots of reasons to celebrate after the event. Together, the companies did USD 7 million in business during the show, with another USD 50 million expected from future deals.
All of them were at the event with the support of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). Companies attending the event were: Britannia, Cedro, Santanense, Cataguases, Covolan, Digitale Textil, Expor Manequins, Rosset, Santista/Tavex, Canatiba, Farbe, Vicunha, RVB Malhas, Tecnoblu, Santa Constancia, Berlan, TBM, Dalila, Paramount, Salotex, Pelican e Sancris.
“This trade show is strategic to the Latin American market, since it gathers various links in the chain, such as supplies, machinery and accessories. That is why it opens up lots of chances for contacts and sees millions in business done,” says the Superintendent Director of Abit, Fernando Pimentel.
To give the Brazilian companies and products at the show even more visibility, at the Abit/Texbrasil space visitors were able to come into contact with the world of Brazilian fashion, its main concepts, technologies and evolution. These products were presented in this interactive space, located in a prime area at the show.
Colombiatex is one of the biggest trade shows for fabrics, inputs and merchandising for the clothing and home fabrics market in Latin America. The event kicks off the business calendar for the year in South America, gathering 510 exhibitors from 24 countries at the last edition and welcoming over 20,000 national and international buyers.
