Texbrasil holds business rounds with Australian buyers
Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) – started virtual business rounds between the Program’s brands and Australian buyers.
The group consists of companies in the apparel sector and includes a diversity of segments, such as beachwear, children’s, fitness and accessories. The participating brands are: Maria Pavan, Cristina Group, Lybethras, Adriana Degreas, Blue Man, Moss & Co, Nhall, Lla Reserve, Fio a Fio, Sol Sports, Fabi Freixo, Camu Camu, Eneida França and Mellow Me.
The rounds will be coordinated by Libek Consultoria, belonging to Grupo Facex, a Texbrasil partner, responsible for matchmaking with Australian buyers, and it will take place until the end of April.
“Australia is an important target market for Brazilian companies and one of the world’s main consumers of apparel. In 2021, the country imported USD 5.8 billion in this segment,” as highlighted by Lilian Kaddissi, executive manager from Texbrasil. Among the main segments consumed in the country are beachwear, women’s, men’s, children’s and sports fashion.
