From October 23 to 26, Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – carried out through a partnership between Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) – will welcome international journalists who will be in the city of Sao Paulo on a business agenda. The group is attending the fashion shows for the 46th Sao Paulo Fashion Week and will also visit the Fabiana Milazzo, Rosset, Gig Couture and Adriana Degreas stores, all of which are Program members.

Tatiana Vanegas, with Colombia’s Carrusel magazine; Victoria Lescano, with Argentine website Infobae; and Nelson Marques, with Portugal’s Expresso newspaper, will be in Brazil to learn more about the country’s industry, attend fashion shows by Brazilian brands and gather information to write about the latest trends in Brazilian fashion. This edition of SPFW, which is built around the theme of “Tran[sp]osition,” is being held at a new venue: an industrial warehouse in Vila Leopoldina, on the city’s west side. In the line-up are shows by PatBo, Handred, Borana, Apartamento 03 and Amir Slama.

Lilian Kadissi, Executive Manager of Texbrasil, underscored the importance of SPFW: “bringing the international media in is a great strategy to work on the image of Brazilian brands abroad and reinforce Sao Paulo as the fashion capital of Latin America. That is why we are taking the group to the concept stores of brands that are not showing at this edition, making the most of their time here,” she adds.
