Representatives of the RVB Malhas, Digitale Textil, Coteminas, Dellas Lingerie, Hering, Fakini Malhas, Trendt, Maria Pavan and Moovexx brands will be in Barcelona from May 23 to 27 for an Innovation and Design Mission organized through a partnership between Instituto Europeo di Design and Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). The schedule includes talks, workshops and visits to companies, technology centers, design firms and famous museums, guaranteeing immersion in the most relevant happenings in the industry.

Named by the European Commission as the innovation capital of the continent in 2014, Barcelona is now a required stop for any executive or researcher wanting to experience innovation, find creative ideas for their own business and create strategic partnerships. Amelia Malheiros, who will take part in the mission as a representative of the Hering Co., SCMC (Santa Catarina Fashion and Culture) and the Hermann Hering Foundation, has high expectations: “whether it’s the city, which breathes and exudes innovation, whether it’s the little I’ve seen of the IED workshop as well as the exchanges that happen on all of the missions with the participants and the facilitators, I’ve already seen that amazing experiences are shared, since you are learning all the time.”

Renato Benvenuti, vice president of RVB Malhas, hopes that the mission will help with the brand’s plans for internationalization. “The main thing is knowing the potential of new markets and business opportunities, where there are needs that our company can fulfill. We hope to learn more about benchmarking, branding, after-sales and business practices,” he says.
