Last Friday (17/05), Brazilian brands showed their swimwear collections during Movimento Brasil, a parallel event held by Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and Siaesp (Audiovisual Industry Guild of the State of Sao Paulo) at the Cannes Film Festival. This initiative was aimed at bringing Brazilian culture and products to the event, taking advantage of the visibility and spotlights that will be in the French city.

The fashion show held by Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Export Program) – developed by Abit in partnership with the Agency – and by Abest (Brazilian Association of Fashion Designers) included participation by 15 labels: Alessa, Limonada, Blue Man, Lybethras, Victor Dzenk, Água de Coco, Alór, Brigitte, Cecilia Prado Mare, Ellis beachwear, Iodice, Jo de Mer, Lenny, Loér, Melt Swim, Remalola, Sinesia Karol and Triya. These organizations are part of a group of institutions comprising the Brasil Fashion System, a brand for internationalization of Brazilian fashion.

The companies selected by the Program using the occasion to show their collections are part of the Texbrasil Design premium group. “Fashion and film represent the style of a country with the same sense of propriety. That is why it makes sense to promote these two worlds together, with one leveraging the other,” says Evilásio Miranda, Manager of the Fashion and Design Center at Texbrasil.
