Texbrasil promotes innovation mission to Asia

02/21/2014

From February 22 to March 9, Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, promoted by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil) will hold Innovation Mission Asia. Seven Brazilian companies are taking part in the initiative – Lalitex, Kanzo, Tinkerbell Modas, Oceano, Tekla, Dudalina and Rhodia – in which representatives from the National Industrial Learning Service (Senai-SP) will also be included.

The goal is to carry out benchmarking with companies and institutions that are references in innovation in these countries and identify opportunities for cooperation. Also on the agenda are visits to museums and research and educational institutions – such as the Tejin Mirai Studio Technology Center (Japan), the Donghua University of Fashion, and the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology (China), as well as the Muji, Isetan Mitsukoshi, Toyota, Itochu and UNIQLO companies, among others, and the Zhou Hua Fang textile industry center.

Participants will also attend a fashion show held by students of the Bunka Fashion College and will take part in talks with specialists in business, innovation, sustainability, health and electronic mobility.

According to Lilian Kaddissi, the Program’s General Manager, the mission will provide the companies with greater contact and familiarity with the Asian market, which has a range of technological and sustainable innovations for the textile industry. “All of the know-how gained during the mission will aid these Brazilian companies to carry out business with and enter into partnerships in China and Japan. On March 7, we will also hold a meeting at the Apex-Brasil business center in Beijing to discuss all possibilities,” she says.
