Texbrasil promotes pop-up store at Galeries Lafayette Dubai
On March 6, Galeries Lafayette of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, will be awash in a Brazilian wave. Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – held through a partnership between Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) – and the Fashion Jardim showroom will be holding a launch event for a casualwear, beachwear and resortwear pop-up store at Galeries Lafayette in the Dubai Mall.
Over two months, the temporary store will show Brazilian brands to the Arab world, including Amir Slama, Karla Vivian, Skazi, Guria Beachwear, Salinas, Água de Coco por Liana Thomaz, Cecilia Prado and Sinesia Karol.
The launch event will feature a cocktail party, with 150 people expected to attend, including major Arab media channels, digital influencers and special guests.
According to Lilian Kaddissi, Executive Manager at Texbrasil, Brazilian eveningwear is very well known in the Arab world, thanks to major brands in the segment that have exported to the region for years.
“Our goal with the pop-up is to start the process of opening the Emirati market up to Brazilian beachwear, resortwear and casualwear companies. The choice of Dubai as a starting point is strategic for us to reach the Arab audience, since the city is in a unique position in the region and has a heavy flow of tourists,” she underscores.
And she adds in closing that “with this selection of brands showing at Galeries Lafayette, we want to find a place on the wish lists of Arab women, with our identity, colors and prints.”
