During the week of August 10 to 14, the cities of Blumenau, Brusque, Joinville and Sao Bento do Sul are hosting Market Week Brazil, a week of business aimed at promoting closer ties between Brazilian companies and the foreign market through personalized service.

The event is held by Sintex (the Trade Association of Spinning, Weaving and Apparel Industries of Blumenau), with the support of Texbrasil – the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) -, which has invited ten international buyers.

They are: Liliana Ortiz and Sebastian Jaramillo, of Distrihogar (Colombia), Clara Potgieter and Leela Balaram, of Edcon (South Africa), Carmen Mozzo and Guadalupe Irigoyen, of Devoto (Uruguay), Lubia de Morales, of Homemart (Guatemala), Bruna Fell, of Sears (USA), Andrea Ocampo, of Homecenter (Colombia) and Mario Ernesto, of Dreaming (Peru).

Over five days, small groups of buyers will be welcomed in the factories and showrooms of seven Texbrasil member companies: Altenburg, Atlantica, Buddemeyer, Buettner, Cotemins, Fibrasca and Karsten. The exclusive attention given to each client is the major difference with this “in-company” format. Moreover, the event reinforces the Santa Catarina textile brand, adding quality service and international recognition to the label.
