Texbrasil welcomes President of Bunka Fashion College

From May 18 to 24, Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) is welcoming the President of Japan’s Bunka Fashion College. Sanae Kosugi, who was invited by the CEO of Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association), Rafael Cervone, to fulfill a schedule of commitments in the country and sign an agreement with SENAI Francisco Matarazzo.

In February of this year, the Program promoted a training mission on innovation in Asia. One of the destinations in this mission was Bunka Fashion College, with industry companies taking part. Since then, Abit (under the auspices of Texbrasil) has been strengthening its relations with the university in order to find out more about the technology and development of the Japanese fashion industry.

During her stay in Brazil, the President will take part in meetings with Abit and SENAI Francisco Matarazzo, give a talk at Contexmod – a congress held by ABTT (Brazilian Association of Textile Technicians), SENAI Francisco Matarazzo, the University of Sao Paulo, and the FEI University Center, with the support of Abit / Texbrasil. She will also give a talk to the Texbrasil Innovation Committee in Blumenau. To become more familiar with the Brazilian industry, Sanae will also visit some of the country’s top textile and apparel factories: Dudalina and Santaconstancia.

At this time, an agreement will also be signed between SENAI Francisco Matarazzo and Bunka Fashion College to transfer knowledge and train employees. All activities will be monitored by the Texbrasil/Abit team.
