The second edition of Brasil Fashion Now highlights Brazilian fashion in marketplaces in the USA and Europe

The Brasil Fashion Now project presents its second edition promoting Brazilian fashion in the United States and Europe. Developed in partnership between Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investments Promotion Agency), ABEST (Brazilian Association of Fashion Designers), ABIT (The Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry) and Abicalçados (Brazilian Association of Footwear Industries), the project started on March 1st in the international marketplace BLANC Fashion

Created as a tool to promote Brazilian fashion digitally due to the pandemic, the initiative brings together 14 brands confirmed for its first phase. With a duration of six months, Brasil Fashion Now will still have a second phase, starting on April 1st, in which it will add new companies to the platform.

11 brands from Fashion Label Brasil (Brazilian Value-Added Fashion Internationalization Program) participate in Abest: Sylvie, Roberta Mattos, Meerk, Lily Franco, Augusta, Wee, Akra, Osklen, Room, Intibrand and Catarina MinaAs for Abicalçados, the three Brazilian Footwear brands are Opananken, Luiza Barcelos and Matuschka Mia

Companies can be accessed directly on the Landing Page developed for the event. The page will be available for six months and will feature spring/summer and autumn/winter collections from participants.

The B2B (business to business) digital platform promotes an unlimited and timeless showcase of 80 brands for more than 16,000 small, medium, and large retailers in more than 90 countries.

Apex-Brasil’s Project Manager, Mariele Christ, comments on the importance of presenting Brazilian fashion together and of digital initiatives in fashion projects – Fashion Label Brasil, Brazilian Footwear. and Texbrasil. “The current moment has accelerated virtual commercial promotion initiatives and solidified the need for an integrated work to gain strength in the international market”, she points out. “We believe in the relevance of the project and the importance of maintaining the exposure of the differential and potential of Brazilian fashion brands to several international buyers”.

Fashion Label Brasil, the Brazilian Value-Added Fashion Internationalization Program, was created in 2003 by ABEST in partnership with Apex-Brasil, whose aim is to position the image of Brazilian fashion abroad, adding value to the image of Brazil as an innovative and contemporary country. The program includes strategic as well as special initiatives to further penetration in new international markets and strengthen relations with those where there is already a presence.
