Back to the face-to-face format, the event is receiving international buyers and journalists invited by Texbrasil (The Internationalization Program of the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry) — result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
The diversified group of buyers includes Dina Moufid Eid, of the Arabian store Fashion Jardim, Eugenia Cabrera, of the Uruguayan Agua de Rio, Luis Godinho, of the Angolan Sol Play, Yill Mianu of the Peruvian store Isidra, Andrea Lucy, of the Chilean Lemonaki, and Andrea Urreiztieta Matas, of the Venezuelan Areia Rosa.
Among the journalists, the group includes Marco Corral from Mexico, who writes for major Mexican fashion publications such as Vogue, Victoria Lecano, a fashion journalism specialist from Argentina, and Santiago Giraldo, the host of the fashion and culture program “Flash Fashion” on the Colombian TV channel NTN24.
At the event, they will visit brands Blue Man, Sophia Hegg, Woma Swim and Victor Dzenk, from Texbrasil, y Água de Coco, Amanda Medrado e R. do Sol, from Fashion Label Brasil.
The guests will still have a packed agenda with big names in Brazilian fashion, including Farm, Rio de Sol, Despi, UV.Line, Vitor Zerbinato, Lolitta, Kika Simonsen, Camu Camu, Matilda, Vestô, Reserva, Lenny Niemeyer, Adriana Degreas and EMI Beachwear.
“We are very happy to be able to welcome international guests after two years of being physically away. The Brazilian brands keep innovating and creating exclusive collections, and we are sure that the guests will enjoy their time with the companies”, says Texbrasil’s executive manager, Lilian Kaddissi.
Veste Rio takes place at the VillageMall Event Center, in Barra da Tijuca, from April 6th to 8th.
