With the support of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), Vicunha Textil was once again the only Brazilian manufacturer in attendance at the Bangladesh  Denim Expo, a show that brings together some of the biggest denim makers in the international market in the city of Dhaka. On April 25 and 26, the event featured the latest in jeanswear, forecasting industry trends and expanding an exchange of ideas between suppliers and customers. The Brazilian textile manufacturer showcased comfortable and versatile items that adapt to consumers’ day-to-day.

At the Vicunha stand, visitors were able to take a look at products from the Moove Super Stretch and Athletic Denim lines, with elasticities of over 60%, as well as the new Bi-Stretch Denim Fitness line, featuring items with multi-directional stretch. One highlight was blends with Tencel®, a Lyocell-based fiber that guarantees a soft touch for items such as Stanley denim (5.8oz) and Melissa denim (5.9oz), from the traditional Shirting Collection line. While more traditional fabrics, like the Essential and True Denim lines, indicated a revival of the denim’s vintage aspect, one of the trends for the upcoming seasons.

Items are made using a special selection of dyes, with excellent penetration into the structure of the fibers and exclusive finishing, guaranteeing the color’s durability. “Bangladesh is a strong market for denim and has shown a great capacity for attracting investments in the industry. We showed the latest in fabrics with unique finishes and multifunctional products at the show, always in line with the top trends being highlighted for the upcoming seasons,” says Thomas Dislich, director of Vicunha Europe and Asia.
