Vicunha celebrates results at Denim Premiere Vision
The 19th edition of Denim Premiere Vision, an event bringing together international denim industry exhibitors in the city of Paris (France), came to an end on November 3. After five editions in Barcelona, the show returned to the city where it started, with Brazilian brand Vicunha Textil attending and presenting its S/S 2018 collection with the support of Texbrasil – the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
As a result, the indigo and denim manufacturer did USD 300,000 in business during the event, with sales of USD 10 million expected over the next 12 months. “This last show proved to be a huge success and we really had visits far above average,” says Thomas Dislich, Asia and Europe Director of Vicunha. “Paris is without question an important center in the fashion world,” he added.
Among the launches the brand showed were the Eco Recycle product line, based on the zero waste concept, reusing water and cotton; and the High Technology Denim Dryarn® product line, whose lightweight fiber keeps skin dry and ventilated, allowing sweat to immediately move to the outside of the item. These lines will be launched in Brazil, with other new products for the season, at the company’s showroom in Sao Paulo from May 9 to 11.
