Vicunha Têxtil was present in four large international trade fairs dedicated to the textile segment during the first half of the year, confirming its relevance in the European and Asian markets.

Guided by innovation and sustainability, the novelties created by this manufacturer for the ’19 Summer season were showcased during the second annual edition of Kingpins (Amsterdam), held between October 25 and 26. On November 14 and 15 the brand will take part in Denim Première Vision (Paris) to present the main items of its new collection to the public. To attend both trade fairs this manufacturer has counted on the support of Texbrasil (the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), the fruit of a partnership between Abit and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

Operating in the European market for more than 18 years, Vicunha was a highlight in other important international events in the sector, such as Munich Fabric Start, held on last September 5-7. ”We have been taking part in the Munich trade fair since its first edition, ten years ago. Its public is essentially German, and so products showcased in the fair are avant-garde and have a very high quality,’ said Thomas Dislich, Vicunha’s Director for Europe and Asia. Also counting on Texbrasil’s support, the brand closed business deals amounting to US$ 90 thousand during the event, and expects US$ 1.7 million more in the next 12 months.

Trade fair DenimsandJeans Bangalore (India), which held it first edition on September 25 and 26, also counted on this manufacturer’s participation, which showcased different high-technology products. ‘We hold a very established position in Asia and the Indian market is fascinating, it has a huge potential. That is why we see our participation as an excellent business opportunity”, complemented Mr. Dislich. During that trade fair Vicunha closed business deals amounting to US$ 100 thousand, US$ 1.5 million more in the next 12 months.

Functionality and sustainability are outstanding trends in Europa and Asia. Among the novelties presented by Vicunha, a highlight goes to the Eco Recycle line, based on the zero-waste concept, in addition to high-performance items from the High Technology line, which bear thermal and bacteriostatic properties. The international market is also demanding comfortable fabrics, with very high elasticity, such as the items from the Extreme Power line, with stretch materials exceeding 40% of their composition.
