Vitor Zerbinato launches “Tropical Chic” collection

08/05/2020

The Brazilian Vitor Zerbinato has just launched its Spring/Summer collection. The brand is a participant in Texbrasil (The Internationalization Program of the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry) – the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

Defined as “tropical chic”, the launch brings many references to Brazilian nature. According to the brand’s director, Andrea Sanchez Santos, the collection includes cheerful and vibrant pieces with light fabrics. “The idea was to bring a little joy and encouragement to women at such a difficult time as we are currently experiencing because of Covid-19,” she explains.

Having the Brazilian flora and fauna as a starting point, the collection is composed of pieces of warm colors such as yellows, reds, oranges and citrus greens. Prints include foliage and toucans applied to fabrics such as crepe, mussel, satin and taffeta.

Another novelty of the launch is the partnership with jewelry designer Stephanie Stein, who developed exclusive pieces, bringing a bit of ‘brasility’, such as earrings and necklaces with macaws and monkeys. “They are lightweight pieces, which can surely be worn at any time of day,” Andrea says.

The collection has been available for wholesale since July, and in September will be released to the final public. To present the pieces, the brand made a showroom in São Paulo, following the rules of distance and social protection.

The brand also thinks about digital solutions to accommodate the current moment. Besides the e-commerce, which according to Andrea will be available soon, Vitor Zerbinato is preparing a digital material, with photos and videos of the collection.
