With a history spanning over 143 years, Karsten reaffirms its trajectory of continuous evolution by announcing an investment of approximately R$ 4 million in industrial technology aimed at modernizing its manufacturing facilities. This initiative reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation and operational efficiency within the Brazilian textile sector.

The investment covers the acquisition and implementation of an automated sewing solution from the German manufacturer TEXPA at the terry cloth manufacturing unit located in Blumenau, Santa Catarina. The new technology incorporates advanced automation and digital programming systems, fostering greater integration of production processes and expanding the company’s operational capacity.

More than just the acquisition of equipment, this investment represents another step in Karsten’s transformation journey—one that has seen the company accelerate technology adoption, modernize its industrial infrastructure, and prepare its operations for future market growth cycles.

According to Karsten CEO Márcio L. Bertoldi, innovation is a continuous process essential to business longevity. “Karsten’s history shows that long-lasting companies are not those that preserve the past, but those that continuously learn to build the future. This investment represents another step in that direction. We are connecting technology, people, and knowledge to develop new capabilities, boost efficiency, and prepare the company for the challenges and opportunities of the coming decades,” he states.

In recent years, Karsten has consolidated a consistent trend of industrial evolution, combining investments in technology, workforce development, process modernization, and gains in production efficiency. The implementation of the new solution will also be accompanied by training programs for operations and maintenance teams, reinforcing the integration of technological advancement and workforce upskilling.

Beyond modernizing its manufacturing facilities, the initiative aligns with the company’s strategy to strengthen its South American supply chain. Its long-term vision aims to increase operational flexibility, bring the company closer to its markets, and prepare its structure to meet diverse demands and growth opportunities.

With this new investment, Karsten reinforces its position as a company that blends tradition and innovation, building a future driven by continuous evolution, industrial efficiency, and the ability to transform knowledge into new development opportunities within the textile sector.
