Brazilian companies do great business at Expo West
Brazilian participants in Expo West, one of the most important trade shows for organic and sustainable products in the United States, held from March 11 to 13, in California, saw great results: Natural Cotton Color and Santa Luzia Redes e Decoracao made 250 contacts and expect to bring in USD 200,000 in the next 12 months. The brands are members of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
“Natural Cotton Color’s participation was a success. We are negotiating with the largest chain of organic product stores in the USA and we sold items from the 2016 Capsule collection for prices ranging from USD 900 to USD 1200,” says Francisca Vieira, CEO of Natural Cotton Color. She also notes that the brand is looking for a distributor in California, given the importance of this market in the organic products segment, especially for naturally colored cotton.
Santa Luzia Redes e Decoracao also believes that the Californian market is promising and the gateway for its products to enter the United States. The show also made it possible for the company to get in touch with wholesale and end customers, allowing for closer ties with North Americans.
