Since 1997, the wealth of colors and details in knit work has fascinated everyone that learns about Rio de Janeiro-based Maria Filo, a member brand of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). Always up-to-date and versatile, the brand’s technique for interweaving strands of yarn is in its DNA. For Winter 2016 the label is inspired by the colors of the French village of Giverny, using the on everything from long open-stitch looks to shorter models with very intense knit work.

Exuding femininity, the label chose jacquard knit as the protagonist of the season, giving shape to midi-length items with an elegant look and retro touch. Warm and full of style, the Maria Filo woman draws attention with tops, cardigans and skirts where knits are king based on their versatility.

Mixed with this technique and in total harmony with the color palette, embroidered elements recall prints, with silk stitches and filled stitches, especially found on frocks and dresses. A lot of Lurex in knit weaves also dots the collection, rounding out the collection with a contemporary air. With a strong presence on the racks of over 60 Maria Filo stores across Brazil, knits can be found in the most varied versions. Just pick your favorites.
