Brazilian beachwear brands head to Miami

07/15/2016

In July, Miami will welcome major Brazilian beachwear brands to take part in these industry trade shows: Miami SwimShow & Lingerie Show (July 16 to 19) and Cabana (July 16 to 18). The group is receiving support from ABEST’s Fashion Label Brasil and Abit‘s Texbrasil Program, in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), two Brazilian fashion export programs.

Taking part in the SwimShow are ABEST brands Agua de Coco, Amir Slama, Cecilia Prado, Dalai Beachwear, Gluck Beachwear, Lili Sampedro, Marta Reis, MOS Beachwear, Sinesia Karol, TM, Trejoa, Triya and Shorts.Co, while Isolda, Lenny Niemeyer, Salinas and Vix Swimwear are taking part in Cabana. Texbrasil members include Sauipe, Lemons & Limes, Feriado Nacional, Lisa Riedt, Morena Rosa, Sol & Energia, Guria Beachwear and Despi.

Adriana Degreas and Clube Bossa, also Texbrasil members, are taking part in Cabana, known for bringing together premium beachwear and accessories brands. “Being at the event will be fundamental for reinforcing the image of Clube Bossa within a select universe of high-end brands and keeping us close to the biggest customers and tastemakers in our segment,” says Fernando Vareschi, the brand’s CCO.

This is the eight time that Camila Ckless, the managing partner and founder of Guria, has taken part in the show and she always has high expectations for the event: “Taking part in shows like this is extremely important to keep us in the market and for us to continue expanding, in addition to increasing the number of customers and countries where we sell our brand,” she explains.

Rio de Janeiro-based brands Marta Reis and TM, of Fashion Label Brasil, are taking part in Swimshow for the first time. With a focus on the swimwear segment, TM intends to expand its range of opportunities during the show. “Last year, we had our first experience with exporting, selling to ShopBog, Blaiz and Tel Aviv. We want to establish our place in the international market and do new business,” adds Isabel Teixeira de Mello, the designer for the brand.

Launched two years ago, Marta Reis is getting ready to start the brand’s internationalization process. “We’re going to launch the S/S 2017 collection during the show in Miami. It’s the fulfillment of a project. The idea is to reach customers that like the Rio de Janeiro lifestyle, which is coveted the world over,” says Marta Reis.
