The companies are part of Texbrasil, Fashion Label Brasil and Brazilian Footwear, programs conducted through partnerships between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association), Abest (Brazilian Association of Fashion Designers) and Abicalçados (Brazilian Footwear Industry Association), respectively.

The Brazilian delegation at Coterie counts with the brands Barbara Bela, Maria Pavan, Nay Sunsetwear, Paola Benardi, Cris Seleme, Vero Senso, Cruise, Eneida França and Cristina Sabatini, from Texbrasil, Catarina MinaNádia Gimenes, Serpui, Lavish, Sabine Arias, Gissa Bicalho, and Andreza Chagas from Fashion Label Brasil and Melissa, Paula Ferber, Schutz, and  Paula Torres, from Brazilian Footwear. Magic NY, which happens alongside at the same place, will count with Zinzane, from Texbrasil.

Coterie is one of the premier women’s fashion and accessories events in the United States and hosts major buyers like Neiman Marcus, Net-à-Porter, Nordstrom and Anthropologie twice a year. “It is an essential showcase for Brazilian women’s fashion brands that want to develop business in the United States. Our delegation has been participating for years, always with great results. We hope to exceed expectations in this edition,” as said by Texbrasil’s executive manager, Lilian Kaddissi.

Brazilian underwear at Curve

In parallel, also at the Javits Center, will take place Curve, a salon for women’s and men’s underwear. The companies Mari M and Plié will take their collections to the trade show that receives American and European buyers. Mari M has already accumulated several participations and it is a constant presence at the event, betting on Curve to expand its market in the United States. Plié is participating for the first time with the support of the Program.

“Brazilian lingerie has many differentials in design, prints and models. There is a lot of potential in the North American market and Curve presents a great opportunity for brands to stand out in the region,” as commented by Lilian.

In addition to underwear fashion, Curve also highlights fitness and nightwear. The event takes place at the Javits Center, alongside Coterie and Magic NY.
