Check out new Texbrasil member companies, Pacoca and Marissyl
Exporting is a big step for a brand to take during its lifetime. Notable among the advantages of selling in other countries are fostering design and innovation, increased product quality and creation of business sustainability, as a result of growing markets and consumers.
With this in mind, beachwear brand Marissyl and kidswear brand Pacoca are the most recent members of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
Marissyl was founded 15 years ago in Joinville, Santa Catarina, and is currently run by designer Larissa Minatto. The company’s infrastructure has a production capacity of 300,000 items per collection and the brand is continually investing in technological devices and in training for its employees. The current S/S 2015 collection, inspired by tropicalism and Brazilian flora and fauna, can be found at over 700 points of sale nationwide. Marissyl also already exports around 15% of its production to countries such as Portugal, France and the United States.
Pacoca is geared towards kids ages 1 to 6, producing costumes and kids accessories with a casual look. Onesies, shirts, trousers, dresses and outfits with rich prints are part of the collections, alongside accessories such as colorful hats, masks and capes. Pacoca has a showroom in the Jardins district of Sao Paulo, in addition to over 60 points of sale across Brazil. Yet it is only a matter of time until this number grows inside and outside the country, isn’t it?
