Highlights of the launch include fabrics from the Vicunha Europa collection, as well as premium articles with differentiated textures and the country’s first twill made with elastane from renewable sources. Sustainability remains a strong focus in the company’s portfolio, with products offering lower water impact, reduced carbon footprint, and recycled or differentiated raw materials, such as TENCEL™ Lyocell.

Europa Collection: the expression of original denim – Vicunha presented its premium line developed for the European market, now also available to customers in Brazil. Among the highlights is Millennium, already well established in the European market, which combines TENCEL™ Lyocell with Vicunha’s Soft Serve yarn, resulting in a denim that balances performance, sustainability, and softness. Shelton showcases an old-school aesthetic with its refined negative slub, delivering a sophisticated texture and enhancing the authentic denim look, updated through stretch comfort.

Ephesus features a dense and robust construction designed for premium men’s collections, connecting the revival of early-2000s oversized silhouettes with an old-school visual. Tombstone adds visual depth with a 3D effect and crosshatch texture.

Within the same concept, Tabriz explores the idea of a contemporary rigid look by combining the appearance of original denim with a softer handfeel and the comfort of elastane. Wiggins, made of 100% cotton, reinforces jeanswear heritage with an old-school look that is versatile for different washes.

Pioneering renewable elastane – Vicunha introduced Rafael, a special twill with a sharply defined diagonal construction, combining cotton and elastane of renewable origin. This is Brazil’s first twill made with LYCRA® Renewable technology, with 70% of the fiber derived from a bio-based ingredient—dent corn—reducing the carbon footprint by up to 44% compared to traditional elastane. In addition to its sustainability, the article delivers a structured look and 100% stretch performance and recovery, ensuring comfort and durability.

The soft, sustainable touch of TENCEL™ Lyocell – The collection more than doubled the number of launches featuring TENCEL™ fiber from Lenzing compared to last year. Produced from FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) certified wood, which ensures responsible forest management, the fiber goes through a closed-loop process that recovers 99% of the solvent used, saving 50% of water and carbon compared to generic lyocell. The result is fabrics with a soft, silky touch, breathability, moisture management, fluid drape, and natural movement.

There are five new articles featuring the fiber: Jenna, a denim made from combed cotton and lyocell, offering high breathability, freshness, and softness; Betina, a twill with ample stretch, silky touch, and enveloping softness; Juréia, which combines the body of cotton with the freshness and moisture absorption of lyocell, featuring a flame effect in the warp; Nice, a structured 4×2 twill with surprising malleability; and Maitê, made of 100% lyocell, providing enhanced fluidity and softness.

Premium effects and differentiated aesthetics – The new collection brings fabrics with textures that recall the best of classic denim. Wilson, made of 100% cotton, delivers an original crinkle effect created by special yarns, resulting in a surface with authentic vintage texture and aesthetics. Luque Plus and Luque Black Plus, composed of cotton and elastane, respond to laundering like true classics, revealing an authentic stonewashed look, pronounced salt-and-pepper effect, and the vivid appearance of vintage stone washes. Giuseppe, made of 100% cotton, brings Japanese inspiration to twill, with intricate stripes created on dobby looms, delivering an original, handcrafted look.

Comfort in stretch fabrics – The collection expands Vicunha’s portfolio of denim blending cotton and elastane. Highlights include Fester, an essential denim with moderate stretch and a warp flame, emphasizing expressive texture with a sophisticated appearance. Bruni features high flexibility and a look that adds textural richness. Kirten Dark delivers strong stretch performance with subtle flame, offering high potential for contrast between blue tones in laundering.

High-performance stretch – Vicunha also expanded its range of high-performance stretch products. Using Lycra® Dual FX technology, the company introduces Laure, a premium denim with high elasticity and shape recovery. It combines cotton, elastomultiester, and elastane, with refined slub in the warp that highlights authentic texture and an elegant visual interplay. The article combines superior performance with environmental responsibility, as it is produced exclusively using reclaimed water.

Lower environmental impact – Vicunha expanded its Zero Fresh Water line, featuring articles produced without the use of freshwater sources, enabled by a treatment plant that purifies water for reuse in industrial processes. The collection also includes fabrics carrying the Less Water label, which minimizes water consumption during production. In addition, the number of products made with recycled cotton was increased, reintegrating waste from the company’s own production process and promoting material circularity.

Another sustainability differentiator is the reduction of CO₂ emissions in the production process. Through five wind farms in Brazil’s Northeast region, Vicunha self-generates clean, renewable energy to supply its three factories in Brazil. The company also uses renewable biomass in its boilers, significantly reducing carbon emissions.

“Innovation and sustainability are no longer differentiators—they are the starting point. What drives us is delivering fabrics that inspire and allow brands to tell relevant stories to their consumers,” says Renata Guarniero, Vicunha’s Marketing Manager.
