During Denim City São Paulo’s Launch Week, held from April 7 to 9, Paranatex— a company participating in Texbrasil (the Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Internationalization Program), a partnership between Abit (the Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency)—presented Apollo Ultra White to the market, a new finish applied to twill that reacts to ultraviolet light.

The treatment gives the fabric an intense, highly reflective sheen, creating a striking visual effect when exposed to light. The technology was developed on the Apollo fabric, one of the company’s heaviest bases, resulting in garments with greater structure and presence.

In addition to the launch, Paranatex announced the expansion of its color palette, which now includes 28 options, featuring four new shades. The collection also incorporates eight twill variations already available in the brand’s portfolio.

Another highlight was the collaboration with five Brazilian designers: Christian Sato, Felipe Fanaia, Hugo Ito, Isac do Carmo, and Tom Martins. The invited professionals created pieces inspired by the futuristic universe and science fiction, referencing works such as Ghost in the Shell and Blade Runner 2049.

The collection’s aesthetic concept also engages with a reinterpretation of the 1980s New Wave movement, combining vibrant colors and contrasts in a contemporary approach.
