In Joinville (Santa Catarina), Diklatex found the perfect expression for showcasing EcoTone—a line of high-tech fabrics combining performance, textile innovation, and sustainability—through dancers Wesley Dyogho and Emanoelle Gouvea, from the Bolshoi Theatre School in Brazil.
In the launch campaign, leaps, turns, and extensions demonstrate in practice how the fabrics keep pace with highly demanding physical movements while maintaining attributes such as elasticity, stability, coverage, and comfort. The concept transforms the precision of dance into a visual demonstration of the fabrics’ performance.
Joinville: where dance meets innovation
The choice of dancers for the campaign reinforces EcoTone’s connection to Joinville, a city internationally recognized as the “City of Dance.” The municipality hosts the Joinville Dance Festival, which has been recognized by Guinness World Records since 2005 as the world’s largest dance festival in terms of the number of participants.
In its 43rd edition, the event brings together more than 16,000 dancers and is expected to attract around 350,000 spectators, cementing Joinville’s status as a major international dance hub.
This drive for movement finds a parallel in the local industry’s trajectory of innovation. As the largest economy in Santa Catarina, Joinville has a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of R$ 49.8 billion—according to the IBGE—and boasts an industrial sector recognized for its capacity for technological development.

According to Eduardo Habiztreuter, from Diklatex’s engineering, research, and development department, the technology eliminates process steps by integrating the color at the source: “Dope dyeing eliminates steps by integrating color at the source, drastically reducing environmental impact. By incorporating the pigment into the fiber structure, EcoTone creates a black that is less prone to variation and more consistent under tension, light, and washing—a technical attribute that also serves as a fashion selling point.”
According to the company, the technology can deliver reductions of up to 90% in water consumption, 98% in chemical usage, 60% in carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions, and 90% in effluent generation.
In addition to environmental benefits, the solution delivers a more uniform black that is fade-resistant and offers greater stability across different production batches, adding consistency and quality to the final product.
Textile technology for activewear and high performance
Designed for applications in activewear, running, cycling, and fitness, the EcoTone line combines features developed to meet the needs of high-performance sports products.
Key attributes include UV 50+ protection, balanced compression, controlled elasticity, dimensional stability, and high coverage. In the campaign, these features transcend mere technical specifications, becoming tangible through the dancers’ movements.
Dance, therefore, fulfills a function that goes beyond aesthetics. By subjecting the fabrics to situations of high physical demand, the campaign makes visible a set of characteristics that normally remain confined to the product’s technical specifications.
