Abit International Conference announces date and theme of the 2021 edition
Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) has announced the date for the next edition of its international conference: October 27 and 28. As in 2020, the event will take place in digital format, and the theme could not be more current. The 2021 edition of the Abit International Conference will be on “Transition in the global fashion system”.
Over two days, the event will bring together and connect the most influential players in the industry, as well as opinion leaders from Brazil and around the world. “As a result of the current scenario, it has become clear that society and all parts of our industry’s production network are undergoing disruptive changes. This year, we want to address these transformations and provide entrepreneurs with the latest concepts about innovation, design, technology, sustainability, and compliance”, explains the President of Abit, Fernando Pimentel.
The panels and lectures will deal, among other themes, with the adjustments and adaptations that the production networks, post-sales, the consumer, and other aspects of the industry go through. Fernando also explains the choice of theme is a continuation of the discussion started at IntegrAbit, Abit’s first digital congress, which took place in 2020.
“If last year we sought to discuss the great forces that move fashion and consumption, now we will talk more directly about how the future of our industry is drawn, the new business models, new consumer and work habits,” he concludes.
Abit International Conference
Abit International Conference is the annual Abit conference. Since 2016, the event has promoted interaction and networking between textile entrepreneurs, clothing manufacturers, fashion retailers, and national and international specialists, always bringing plenty of content to the sector. It usually gathers more than 300 people in capital cities like São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Minas Gerais, however, last year, it carried out a successful digital version.
