AMC Textil begins expansion project in Latin America with the opening of a Colcci store in Paraguay
The inaugural party for the first international AMC Textil store was held on November 20, in Asuncion, Paraguay. The new store for the Colcci brand, a member of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – held through a partnership between Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) – is the chain’s largest, covering 185 square meters.
The flagship store’s location couldn’t be better: in the Shopping Paseo La Galeria, one of the best locations in Paraguay, housing internationally recognized brands. The opening of the Asuncion store kicks off the group’s expansion plans. “Our plan was structured so that the operation reaches Latino countries in the short term. To do this, we are carefully analyzing each market we intend to reach,” says Thiago Raitez, who is with the export area at AMC Textil.
Thiago explains that AMC Textil has already worked with the Colcci brand in Paraguay for some time through partners, with a product that has been very popular in this market. “This is why we have good expectations in relation to the brand’s consolidation. In addition, Paraguay is a market that has been growing in recent years and we believe that this prosperity will bring the group new opportunities,” he says.
The group expects to continue expanding in 2019 by opening four additional stores on the continent.
