Australia Roadshow opens new doors for Brazilian companies

07/05/2023

Australia Roadshow mobilized 12 Brazilian brands between June 13 and 20, with the aim of establishing new partnerships with the Australian market.. In the foreign country, the Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) – visited more than 10 partners in Sydney, Gold Coast, Brisbane and Melbourne.

The action was carried out together with the consulting service company of the Facex Group, which helped in the identification of buyers, in the scheduling of meetings and in the contact with the Brazilian brands for the preparation of materials to be presented. The companies represented in this undertaking were: Batiche, Fernanda Ávila, Malu Pires, Fabi Freixo, Flavia Aranha, NHall, Silvia Schaefer, Triya, Rio de Jas, Zinzane, Grupo Cristina and Shanes.

The selected and specialized consultants presented samples of each of the brands, as well as the prices, history and the other important information, in order to represent each company in all the meetings with the buyers. Adriana D’Agostini, person in-charge of the commercial promotion of Texbrasil, accompanied the group and believes that many doors were opened. “We have had intense days, a lot of meetings, and business expectations in the months to come are good,” she celebrates.

Between the exhibition of products and the presentation of Brazilian brands, the roadshow received the visit of 30 potential points of sale with ongoing negotiations. Furthermore, an important encounter with the Brazilian Consulate in Australia and the Australia-Brazil Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) presented opportunities to the sector, such as business trade fairs and a Brazilian promotion action week in Australia, in the cities of Brisbane and Melbourne in September.

The country does not have large outstanding international trade fairs. After the Roadshow, a follow-up will be conducted together with the partner Consulting Service company with respect to the issue of exclusivity of sales in Australian territory for each presented brand. It is a new insight towards the introduction of Brazilian brands in the country that, shortly, will have news regarding future sales of their products.
