Brazilian brands display their new collections during the Paris Fashion Week

03/03/2020

Paris Fashion Week is the biggest showcase in the world for brands to display their new collections and set trends. Inside and outside catwalks, it’s one of the most important seasons and, this year, Brazilian brands will make an appearance. Six companies will be part of, beginning on the 29th, the Areia Showroom, including Adriana Degreas, Phebo, Almost Vintage, Yaser Shaw, Sophia Hegg, and Vitor Zerbinato.

The latter two are supported by Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile Industry and Fashion Internationalization Program) — a result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile Industry and Confection Agency) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Exports and Investments Facilitation Agency).

The São Paulo-based stylist Vitor Zerbinato’s brand will take to the showroom a new collection heavily influenced by Hollywood’s golden age and Alfred Hitchcock’s movie “The Birds”.

The brand is betting on models and textures inspired by the movie’s main actress, Tippi Hedren. Andrea Sanchez, the company’s director, tells that showroom visitors and purchasers can expect drama, mystery and refinement in taffeta and satin items.

According to Andrea, expectations for this year are ambitious: to double the volume of orders since its last attendance. “The service space will be bigger and more exclusive, enabling the welcoming of more select purchasers,” Andrea believes.

The showroom is, for her, a way of offering customized support for customers, thus it became a brand reality. Andrea explains that, in the long run, they intend to take part in more showrooms across Europe, not only in Paris Fashion Week.
