Three Brazilian brands took part in the fall/winter edition of Premiere Vision New York, held on July 18 to 19, in New York City (United States). The companies Elaia, Kalimo and Savyon, members of Texbrasil – Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, the result of a partnership between Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) –returned to Brazil with good business results.
Together, the national brands made 152 contacts with countries such as the United States, Canada, Mexico and Colombia, and had a turnover of USD 47,000 during the event, with expectations of USD 1.3 million in sales for the next 12 months. For the export manager of Kalimo design studio, Talita Khalifeh, the brand’s participation in the fair was very good, as it allowed the company to review already known clients, in addition to bringing new contacts. “Our swim and activewear line was a hit, and exclusive print”, said Khalifeh.
Savyon’s export manager, Klecius Joanduci, also considered the participation of the jacquard manufacturer in the event very positive. “Our products were well received by the public of PV NY and in addition, two of our fabrics were selected for the main forum of the event,” he commented. Approximately 320 exhibitors, selected from leading fabric and yarn manufacturers, accessory brands, design studios, and leather and apparel producers from around the world, exhibited their collections during the two-day trade show, which hosted more than 3,800 visitors.
