Brazilian participation at SwimShow and Cabana generates over than USD 7 million
From July 22 to 25, 19 Brazilian brands took part in two important beachwear trade fairs on the American East Coast: SwimShow and Cabana, held in the city of Miami, Florida (United States).
With the support of the Brazilian Fashion Internationalization projects Fashion Label Brasil by ABEST and Texbrasil by Abit, both in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), the companies had a turnover of USD 1.9 million during the events, with expectations of USD 7.7 million in sales over the next 12 months.
Reference in luxury beachwear, the fashion designer Adriana Degreas took part for the fourth consecutive year in Cabana Show. The designer said the company made more than 150 business contacts during the event, not only from the United States, but also with clients from Russia, Chile, Dubai, Israel, the Netherlands, among others. “During the trade fair, we had the opportunity to serve all our customers and also prospect new opportunities. We expect to grow 20% over last year participation”, said Adriana. Clube Bossa is another brand of Texbrasil Program that also took part in the event.
The brands Despi, Feriado Nacional, Guria Beachwear, Karla Vivian Beach Brazil and Sol & Energia, also Texbrasil members, were present at the Miami SwimShow. The head of the export department of the Feriado Nacional, Fernando Aquila, also celebrated the positive results in the event. “We started the trade fair work five months ago, so we were able to prepare ourselves to serve customers from several countries that had already scored and also the new ones. Surely this edition has surpassed the businesses carried out last year, “he said.
From Fashion Label Brasil, by ABEST, the brands Vix Swimwear, Agua de Coco, Nannacay, Salinas and Lenny Niemeyer participated in the Cabana. “We were very pleased with the structure and objectivity proposed by the Cabana Show. Our sales expectation for the next 12 months is USD 500,000, focusing on countries like the United States, Costa Rica, Russia and England”, sad Camila Sabra, Lenny Niemeyer’s commercial manager.
Marta Reis, Mos Beachwear, Dalai Beachwear, Triya, Shorts.co, Gluck Rio and Amir Slama were at SwimShow. “After three years attending the trade fair, we noticed that buyers were more excited to know different brands than they used to buy. With this new behavior, we obtained many orders during the event and opened new markets, which can generate future sales until the next edition of the trade fair”, sad Camila Rades, style and marketing coordinator of MOS Beachwear.
