FARM has announced its newest international location: a shop at the Aventura Mall, in Miami, in the USA. The new point of sale is part of an expansion project being carried out by the Rio de Janeiro-based brand, which is a member of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – held through a partnership between Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association).

With the flagship store expected to open around October, during America’s fall season, FARM is continuing a series of actions focused on the global market. The plan kicked off in the USA in 2018, when the company opened an office in New York City. Next, a store was opened in the Soho district and two pop-up stores were launched: one in Los Angeles and another at Montauk Beach, in the Hamptons, in New York.

The Aventura Mall was a strategic choice for the new store: it is Florida’s largest shopping center, drawing tourists as well as locals. Racks are being stocked with collections that intend to keep pace with launches at the New York store. Items are adapted to an international public, with a more restricted selection of the store’s famous prints, which feature references to Brazilian identity and are very reminiscent of the tropics.

“We’ve had a great return. After operating for just a few months, we already have customers in every state in the USA. Prints have been our main differential and draw. As one of our customers says, FARM is helping Americans to overcome their fee of wearing colors and prints,” says Fabio de Mello Barreto, Head of FARM International.

The next steps in the internationalization plan for the company, a Texbrasil member for the last three years, have already been determined. There are plans to open another point of sale in the country, in Los Angeles, California. FARM is also looking at other states, like Texas.

This month, sales to the Chinese market will start through the T-Mall e-commerce platform, owned by retailer Alibaba. In September, the brand is taking part in the Coterie international show, being held in New York from September 15 to 17.

Throughout its partnership with Texbrasil, the company has received support to attend the Coterie show in the USA and has taken part in missions organized by our team for the Copenhagen Fashion Summit sustainability event and for the Argentina and Uruguay Roadshow.
