Four Texbrasil companies take part in Innatex, a show focused on the sustainable segment

07/23/2018

From July 28 to 30, four members of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – the result of a partnership between  Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) – will be in the city of Frankfurt, Germany. The destination is the Fall/Winter edition of Innatex, the world’s only show focused on the natural textiles segment.

The event is organized by IVN, the International Association of the Natural Textile Industry. Confirmed among Brazilian exhibitors are the Natural Cotton Color, Panosocial, Tita Co. and Juliana Gevaerd brands.

For 20 years Innatex has featured not only sustainable fashion exhibitors, but also exhibitors from various categories in the chain who work with environmental and social responsibility: textiles, inputs, accessories, home textiles and more.

According to Francisca Gomes Vieira, CEO of Natural Cotton Color, the perspectives are high when taking part in the event, especially because the demand for organic clothing and fabrics has grown in recent years. “We are at a collective booth, with a mix of finished products. The brands work a lot on adapting products and we, at NCC, are launching a new, totally sustainable and innovative collection, so I think that we will be very well-received in the German market,” he says.

He also mentions that the show is strict and selective in its curation, a factor that is reflected in the quality of buyers. “It’s a fantastic event. Alexandre Hitzel, the creator of Innatex, started long before this segment was popularized; I really respect his work,” he says.

According to Lilian Kaddissi, the Program’s Executive Manager, the show is an important platform for sustainable textile and apparel industry brands that are moving towards internationalization: “three of the four companies showing at this edition are new to Texbrasil; it’s a strong segment filled with opportunities. We hope that they take advantage of this environment to close deals and make quality contacts,” she says.
