Inspiramais ends with great business for Texbrasil companies
At the invitation of Texbrasil – Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, a result of a partnership between Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) – three international buyers and two journalists visited the last edition of Inspiramais – Design and Innovation of Components trade fair, which brought together manufacturers of raw materials for fashion and design at Pro Magno Events Center in Sao Paulo.
The brands Abduche, Britannia Textil, Estudio Capim Puro, Dash Studio, Digitale Textil, Dini Textil, Hak Aviamentos, Innovativ, Modelle Bojos, Oficina Lamparina, Tecnoblu and Vicunha Textil, all Texbrasil members, had a turnover of USD 381,000 during the event, with expectations of USD 468,000 in sales over the next 12 months, as well as commercial contacts with countries such as Colombia, Italy, Peru, Argentina, Paraguay, Mexico, India and Ecuador.
For Lucas Fontanari, Modelle Bojos’s Sales Supervisor, the trade fair, already consolidated in the footwear components market, opens space for the textile components industry, attracting more exhibitors and buyers of this industry, as well as allowing a valuable exchange of information and integration with the footwear market. “With the arrival of international buyers brought by Texbrasil, we continue to consolidate our brand in the Latin American market, presenting products with technological differentiation and solutions within our product strategy,” he commented.
“This edition of Inspiramais exceeded our expectations. We had a qualified visitation and won new clients, both international – from Mexico, Peru, Colombia and Argentina, who surprised us with the demand – as the nationals, especially from the southern region of Brazil, from Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Juruaia, who are always present”, said Natalia Shaw, Export Manager of Britannia Textil. The fabric manufacturer was one of the winners of the Winter Transformers Award 2018, aimed at companies that developed materials that stood out for design and innovation in the event.
Peruvian journalist Patuska Knezvich, a guest from the newspaper Publimetro, revealed that she learned a lot about how Brazilian companies are dealing with the various variables of the textile market. “I liked having an itinerary of brands to know during the trade fair, which helped me to see the different aspects of the same industry,” she said. The next edition of Inspiramais will take place in the city of Sao Paulo on January 15 to 16, 2018.
