Vicunha Textil brings smart fabrics to Denim Premiere Vision
The 20th edition of Denim Premiere Vision, an event from France’s Premiere Vision group focused on denim, begins today (April 26) in Paris. The event brings together exhibitors of fabrics, laundries, chemical products and accessories geared towards the segment twice a year. The show celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2017 and welcoming Vicunha Textil, with the support of Texbrasil – Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
The indigo and denim producer is the only Brazilian company to show at this edition, presenting upcoming trends, innovations and technologies for F/W 2018/19. To win over the international public, Vicunha is betting on smart fabrics that bring comfort and practicality to fashion. To do this, the manufacturer has joined Nilit®Fibers, an Israeli company specialized in producing Nylon 6.6 yarns, to create its F/W 2018 collection. Items constructed using Nilit®Fibers yarn result in high-performance products.
With three functional fiber options, the technologies give jeanswear features such as reduced temperature, a bacteriostatic effect and humidity management. The bacteriostatic effect also gives clothes a sustainable touch, since there can be more time between washings, preventing excessive water usage. The partnership adds to the textile company’s investment in jeanswear innovation, allowing it to serve a market that is asking for solutions that are more and more aligned with what consumers want.
