On September 26 and 27, three Brazilian brands are showing their collections at the Modtissimo show, in Porto, Portugal. Ecofante, Natural Cotton Color and Juliana Geaverd, members of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile 0Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) – are attending the event’s second edition in 2018.

According to Lilian Kaddissi, the Program’s Executive Manager, the brand’s participation in the show is strategic. “Modtissimo is another option as a relevant event in the European market, with a special focus on Portugal, a country that is extremely receptive to our products,” she explains.

Kaddissi adds that this initiative is part of a strategy to intensify activities on the Iberian peninsula. “We supported a pop-up store with Brazilian beachwear brands at the El Corte Ingles store in Lisbon and in Porto in the first semester, with excellent results. We hope that this initiative continues along that same path of good business,” she says.modtíssimo

Modtissimo joins around 220 exhibitors from the textile, apparel, tanneries and accessories segments; it started in Portugal as an expo aimed solely at the textile market in 1992. For its 27th show, in March 2006, the event underwent structural changes and now brings together all of these segments at just one event.
