Leninha dives into its own identity in a new collection

12/09/2020

The underwear and homewear brand Leninha is reinventing itself to launch its new collection. Titled “in whatever it is, sea”, the launch made a dive into the brand’s identity, listening to customers to create inclusive and comfortable pieces.

Created in 2016, Leninha joined Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – the result of a partnership between Abit (The Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Exports and Investments Promotion Agency) – in 2020 in order to expand the business to the international market.

The new collection, which includes swimwear, lingerie, and homewear, is made with cotton and tulle. “The pieces focus on materials that were already used, but not widely explored. Thus, cotton and tulle gain more space. Comfort is the protagonist of the collection and versatility is a condition. From these reflections, the entire new collection was made with 100% Brazilian fabrics and notions”, explains Maria Antonia Ribeiro, co-founder of the brand.

Leninha’s pieces are made in six sizes and include new models, which considered customer requests and feedback, such as bra models that allow breastfeeding, or functional clothes, such as a sweater that can also be a dress.

International market

Leninha joined Texbrasil in September, starting from a desire to start its export process. According to Maria Antonia, the brand was already mapping opportunities when it met the Program: “We were sure that Texbrasil would be the ideal facilitator to achieve this expansion”, the executive comments.
