Modern knitwear brand Maria Pavan has been on the racks at the famed London boutique The Shop at Bluebird since May 4. The brand, a member of Texbrasil – the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, the result of a partnership between Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) – was one of the labels chosen for a summer pop-up store, “Postcards from Latin America,” presenting prominent designers from countries such as Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Venezuela.

“The Bluebird is one of London’s most famous boutiques and you will only find internationally recognized designers on the racks there. This recognition is our brand’s goal in terms of positioning,” says Mariana Pavan. England is currently the number one market for the brand’s exports, which can also be found in another three boutiques in the country and in the capital of London, where it has a permanent showroom. “I think that our product has seen great acceptance from Europeans and Brits, since the consumers in these places are demanding and recognize quality products with unique design,” adds the designer.

Maria Pavan’s S/S ’18 collection at the King’s Road store celebrates the work of Brazilian artist Tarsila do Amaral, with vibrantly colored patterns, textures and volumes. “Participation in this event is another important step in internationalizing the brand. Another two London shops came to us after the launch at The Bluebird and this year we are also taking part in Scoop International – one of Europe’s most exclusive shows, held at the Saatchi Gallery in London,” Mariana says.
