Product Mentoring ensures competitiveness for Balancê Brasil

03/18/2024

Texbrasil Product Mentoring (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), the result of a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association), emerged with the aim of improving the performance of companies in the textile and apparel sector in a dynamic market. “Mentoring is a tool that provides accelerated knowledge gain and helps companies evolve towards their level of maturity”, says Lilian Kaddissi, executive superintendent of strategic projects at Abit.

Companies that hire training receive guidance from a consultant specialized in the segment, which helps to rethink several fundamental cornerstones of the enterprise. Marina Ignacchitti, creative director of Balancê Brasil, joined the program and saw several possibilities for improving her brand’s processes, and even completed the Mentoring in record time: she completed the process in just one month, instead of four, as it is normally the average time of other companies.

“Mentoring programs can unlock growth potential when there is alignment and commitment from participants. It is necessary to be open to changes for this process, concentrate efforts and implement the feedbacks received to make better use of mentoring”, analyzes the businesswoman. “The time-intensive dedication will benefit Balancê Brasil in terms of product development and innovation.”

Under the guidance of consultant Geni Ribeiro, Maria gained unique insights into product development, market strategies, sustainability and future trends, “which are essential elements for any professional who wants to stand out in the sector”, she says. For her, Mentoring reverberates in the company’s strategy, culture and brands’ vision of the future.

“Innovation is often a challenging process that requires leaving one’s comfort zone, questioning the status quo and taking risks in new directions. I hope that Balancê can serve as an inspiration for other companies seeking to maximize the value of similar programs”, concludes the director.
