Coterie New York Strengthens the International Presence of Brazilian Fashion

03/16/2026

With the support of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), 16 Brazilian companies participated in Coterie New York, held from February 24 to 26, 2026, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in the United States.

The Brazilian delegation included the brands 2DNM, Cacay, Carrano, Cristina Sabatini, Dolps, Dress To, Ficcare, Jungle Society, Lavish by Tricia Milaneze, Maria Pavan, Melissa, Modus Rio, Osklen, Schutz, Serpui and Zoew Beachwear.

The Brazilian participation generated 436 business contacts throughout the trade show. During the event, companies supported by Texbrasil achieved US$861,000 in business deals, with expectations of reaching US$1.7 million over the next 12 months.

According to Adriana D’Agostini, Texbrasil’s Commercial Promotion Manager, the results were positive. “Despite the current challenges faced by our sector, such as high import duties and the reduced number of buyers attending the event due to the worst snowstorm recorded in New York in the past five years, companies reported that the deals carried out remained in line with the results of last year’s winter edition,” she said.

For Susie Lau-Kuppen, CEO and founder of Ficcare, “Coterie NYC – February 2026 is an important event for us to connect with new clients and also reconnect with clients who already purchase our brand. The Spring 2026 collection was launched during the show and has been very well received.

The support from Abit was essential in making our participation in Coterie NYC possible, held from February 24 to 27, 2026.”

Coterie New York brought together women’s fashion, accessories, and footwear brands, while also attracting buyers, retailers, and industry professionals from several countries. The program included trend presentations, panel discussions, and networking meetings focused on the fashion industry.

The presence of Brazilian companies takes place as part of Texbrasil’s initiatives to support the sector’s international operations and expand commercial connections in the North American market.
