Borana is the newest Texbrasil member
In 2018, Texbrasil (the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), a partnership between Abit and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), is welcoming the program’s newest participant, women’s beachwear brand Borana.
Founded by the Aguiar family in 2010, Borana has positioned itself in the market as a young beachwear brand featuring varied items with prints inspired by the many colors of Brazil. Patiara Aguiar is responsible for creation and development.
The brand currently has stores in three cities in the state of Espirito Santo: Vitoria, Vila Velha and Sao Matheus.
According to Jorge Aguiar, the brand’s Manager of Strategic Matters and Production, joining Texbrasil represents the chance to grow the company’s exports: “When we went to Colombiamoda, in Medellin, we saw that the foreign market is filled with opportunities. Now, with the help of the program, we want to gain this market, whether by providing support at national and international events or through consulting to help us adapt to the market’s demands.”
