Brazilian delegation will have 42 companies at Colombiatex 2024

Between January 23 and 25, the 36th edition of Colombiatex will take place, the main fair in Latin America focused on the textile industry. In this edition, we will have 42 Brazilian companies at the event, thanks to export projects carried out by Abit and ABIMAQ (Brazilian Association of the Machinery and Equipment Industry), in partnership with ApexBrasil.

The joint initiative includes the Texbrasil Program (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) — the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), together with the Brazil Machinery Solutions (BMS) project, a partnership of ABIMAQ with the Agency.

Among the 42 participating companies, 35 of which will attend the event with Texbrasil. They are: Altero (Assintecal), Brand Têxtil, Canatiba Denin Industry, Capricórnio, Cardenas, Cataguases, Cedro Têxtil, Chargeurs PCC, Cofratec, Coltex Têxtil, Covolan, Dalila Têxtil, Diklatex/Latina Têxtil, FB do Brasil, Grife Têxtil, Hyosung, Incofios, Kalimo, Kirimurê, Linhas Trichê, Lunelli Têxtil, Lycra, Malhas Menegotti, Moltec, Nilit, Paranatex Têxtil, Rovitex, Sancris Hilos y Cierres, SantaConstância, Santanense, Santista Jeanswear, Spa Têxtil, Tecnoblu, Texneo and Vicunha Têxtil.

The Brazil Machinery Solutions project is already supporting a group of 7 brands: Albrecht, Audaces, Castilho, Comelato Roncato, Porta Cabos, Sociotec and Total Ecomáquinas.

Colombiatex has been held annually since 1988. Treated as the main business center in Latin America focused on the textile, machinery and chemical products segment, it is attended by visitors, wholesalers, distributors, retailers, representatives of textile and clothing inputs, as well as press from around the world..

The results achieved by the delegation of Brazilian companies in the 2023 edition of the event were very positive. The companies closed USD 10,066,000 in new business, a value above the estimate of USD 8,000,000 they had before the event. It was the highest amount transacted by Brazilian brands at the fair in the last five years. For the machinery and equipment sector, the 2023 edition also generated positive results. In total, there were USD 5.7 million in business carried out during Colombiatex and expected over the next 12 months, as a result of the action
