Cantão launches denim collab with Sasha Meneghel

The Brazilian women’s fashion brand Cantão has launched the collection Indigo Lab, which counts with the collaboration of the model and stylist Sasha Meneghel. The brand, which is part of Texbrasil (Program of Internationalization of the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry) a result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), bet on the jeans classic dyeing for the new models. 

Traditional natural dyeing techniques are a source of inspiration for light and fresh pieces, which also gain a classic air with the Sasha collaboration. The designer created a capsule collection within the launches, developing new readings of iconic modeling, from jeans shirts, jackets, overalls, and, of course, pants. 

Daughter of TV presenter Xuxa, Sasha has followed her own path in fashion, and with the collaboration, she combines her personal tastes with Cantão’s style. The pieces are limited and bring special washes, unusual details, and a bit of the designer’s personal touch.

“We thought about every button, every pocket, every little piece. There is a bit of Sasha in every detail, in every piece. It is the perfect match between my ideas and Cantão’s identity”, said the designer. 

According to Cantão, the launch proposes a reflection on the new times, inviting the consumers to slow down. For this reason, the pieces have as priority comfort, lightness, and loose modeling. 

Born in 1967 in Rio de Janeiro, Cantão is inspired by the city’s lifestyle in the creation of pieces inspired by the free, light, loose, and colorful state of mind. With 50 stores in Brazil, the brand is still represented by more than a thousand multi-brands, and exports to countries such as Australia, Portugal, Spain, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, and the USA.
