And in order to keep these numbers increasing, Fashion Rio promotes the fashion made in Rio until the end of this week (04/19).

At the press conference opening the Fashion Rio, the vice-president of Firjan and president of the textile union, Carlos Leker, highlighted the results that the clothing industry in Rio presented in the period of ten years. “This is a positive number, even more taking into account that we export to highly demanding countries such as France and Japan”, he says.

With this result, the collaboration of Rio de Janeiro in the Brazilian exports of the sector reached a historical record in 2012 by reaching 14%, consolidating the third position among the largest exporters of fashion in the country, alongside Sao Paulo and Santa Catarina, respectively.
