Miami Swim Week: Brazilian Beachwear Shakes Up the North American Market
A group of 46 Brazilian beachwear brands will be arriving in the United States in the coming days. They will be presenting their collections at Swim Week – a series of events focused on this segment in Miami, USA.
With the support of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), 18 beachwear brands will be exhibiting their products at SwimShow – considered one of the most traditional and important beachwear fashion fairs in the world. These are: Akera, Constantinopla, Das Meninas, Falésia Carioca, Ga-Há, Guilff, Guria Beachwear, Jungle Society, Karla Vivian, Kopsch, Lybethras, MOS Beachwear, Nidas, Planet Sea, Rio de Sol, Rygy, Silvia Schaefer and Zillê Rio. The event takes place between May 30th and June 1st at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
Simultaneously with SwimShow and at the same location, two other Brazilian companies will debut at Curve Miami, also with the support of the Texbrasil Program: Mari M and Plié.
Furthermore, during the same period, another 25 Brazilian companies will be at the Cabana Show, supported by Fashion Label Brasil, a Brazilian Fashion Internationalization Program with added value, created by ABEST (Brazilian Association of Fashion Designers) in partnership with ApexBrasil: Água de Coco, Catarina Mina, Cecília Prado, Cristina Sabatini, Despi, Dress To, Empress, Gapaz, La Sirène, Lavish, Lenny, Lis Fiaschi, Maria Pavan, Melissa, Naked, Osklen, Patbo, Serpui, Sinesia Karol, Sophia Hegg, Ventura Eyewear, Vix, Waiwai, Yukio and Zoew. The fair brings together mostly American brands and retailers, focusing on design and original fashion to serve buyers from famous boutiques and department stores around the world, mainly from North and Central America.
During the three days of these events, buyers will be able to explore a variety of products in the categories of beachwear, resortwear, underwear, footwear, bags, accessories, and lifestyle. There are approximately 800 exhibitors from more than 10 different countries, including Brazil, the United States, Colombia, Peru, Germany, Italy, and Poland, among others. Organizers expect to receive more than 7,500 participants, including buyers, press/media, sponsors, and industry professionals from over 60 countries.
Another unprecedented action marks this edition of Swim Week: for the first time, Colombiamoda Miami opens its doors to brands from other countries, and Brazil is invited, being represented by Borana, also through Texbrasil. The event will be held at Throw Social, between May 27th and 29th.
