Five Brazilian companies are showing at the S/S editions of the Swim Collective and Active Collective shows on August 1 and 2, being held in Anaheim, Orange County, California. Attending the events, which are being held in parallel and are geared towards the beach, resort, surf and fitness segments are DespiRio de SolLíquidoCharmosa Swimwear and Silvia Schaefer , all member brands of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

Gian Marco Guatteri, one of the owners of Rio de Sol, says that this is the brand’s first time at the show. “Swim & Active Collective is a bit smaller compared to Miami fashion week events, and that is good because we are just starting to take part in events in this market. Because there are fewer booths, we can stand out from the rest and receive more buyer visits.”

The five Brazilian brands are showing their launches to around 1,000 buyers who come from places such as the west coast of the USA, Hawaii, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia and more. Each event is held twice annually: once in August and once in January. This is the second Swim & Active Collective edition held as one unit; the events had previously been held separately.
