As one of the members of the premium brands group, Texbrasil Design, designer Victor Dzenk was invited by Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Export Program), a program developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), to put together the ensemble that Gaby Amarantos wore on May 20, at the guest party show for “Momento Brasil” – an initiative created with the aim of bringing Brazilian products and culture to Cannes during the Film Festival.

The event is being promoted by the Agency and by Siaesp (Audiovisual Industry Guild of the State of São Paulo) in Le Goéland, at the Boulevard de la Croisette. It will function as a platform where filmmakers, journalists and executives will have a chance to check out a creative Brazil that offers quality products and services in various industrial sectors, including cinema.

Victor made a customized jumpsuit with a tribal print for the presentation. The look is topped off with a lush silk straw cape with a parrot feather print and with necklaces and hair accessories made by indigenous Amazon peoples out of seeds. “I was very happy that Texbrasil stepped in, since I will have the opportunity to extend the moment of the runway show on the 17th and present one of the icons of the Amazônia collection in the ‘Momento Brasil’ show as well. And furthermore, I adore Gaby. I’ve known this singer for a while and she has even been in some of my runway shows. What’s more, she is from Pará, which has everything to do with my work this season,” says the designer.
