Two Brazilian representatives took part in the latest edition of Denim Premiere Vision, a traditional event forecasting what is new in denim for the market, held in the city of Barcelona (Spain), on May 18 and 19. The Vicunha Textil and Canatiba brands took part in the show with the support of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

At the Vicunha Textil stand, the indigo and denim manufacturer featured high-performance products, with more options featuring stretch and favoring wearability, while still maintaining the retro trend of classic jeans. “The Vicunha stand at the show met excellent quality standards and reflected the creativity and innovation of the textile company’s latest products. The Bi-Stretch, Joyer and Game items allow men and women to move freely and were the major highlights among the show’s visitors. The Ever Black line was also a crowd-pleaser, since black continues to be a key trend,” says Thomas Dislich, Vicunha Europe and Asia Director. He also celebrated the brand’s success at the show in Spain: “We received lots of visits over the two days, serving everyone from small to large retail representatives, who were interested in launches and in the textile company’s positioning in the market.”

Canatiba Denim Industry, a company in the jeanswear segment for over 50 years, with commercial bases throughout Latin America, the U.S.A. and Europe, introduced products with state-of-the-art technology and the finest raw materials, meeting the expectations of the international market. Also on display were creations by Fabiana Milazzo, Leticia Manzan and Almerinda Maria, designers that are part of the Canatiba Lab, a creative platform for developing design projects in dialog with denim. Another highlight at the label’s stand was the Barcelona Barbershop, which gave the public a break in the schedule to enjoy a relaxed experience and interact with other market professionals.

The 18th Denim Premiere Vision explored the theme of “True Denim,” the nature of denim, its DNA and evolutions. The show welcomed around 4,000 international visitors over two days, including apparel and denim brands, designers and tastemakers. The 95 exhibitors from 23 different countries who were at the event included weaving mills, laundries, finishing and accessory companies, producers of fibers and yarns, and technological development organizations.
