Vicunha Textil charms Bangladeshis at jeanswear show

03/16/2016

Bangladeshis were taken with the technological items and exclusive launches from Vicunha Textil at Denimsandjeans, in Dhaka, held March 2 and 3. As the only western representative at the show, the manufacturer welcomed designers and buyers from all over the world to its stand, showing them the biggest innovations in indigo and denim. The brand is a member of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

The new Stay Black line was the chief innovation shown and the public was fascinated by the fast hold of its dark tones.  Items are made using a special selection of dyes, with excellent penetration into the structure of the fibers and exclusive finishing, guaranteeing the color’s durability. Among other highlights were items in the Moove Super Stretch and Athletic Denim lines, with elasticities of over 60%, and fabrics with more classic weights, such as the 100% cotton Essential and True Denim lines.

The 100% Tencel® lines, whose soft touch and extreme comfort guarantee flowy and light shapes, also drew significant attention. “The success achieved with these items during the show just confirms that buyers increasingly want to bring premium products to the consumer,” says Thomas Dislich, Vicunha’s Europe and Asia director.

As one of the main sponsors of Denimsandjeans, Vicunha also kicked off the event’s traditional fashion show with its jeanswear trends for S/S 2017.
