Incofios invests in internal training to qualify its workforce
In response to the demand for qualified professionals in the textile industry, Incofios, a company participating in Texbrasil (the Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Internationalization Program), a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), headquartered in Indaial, Santa Catarina, has adopted internal training as a strategy to sustain its operations and increase productivity. This initiative takes place in a context in which Santa Catarina accounts for approximately 26% of national textile production, according to data compiled by Abit.

The company has structured a continuous training model focused on the technical education of workers in the production area, with an emphasis on spinning processes. The program includes specific training according to the type of equipment operated, with the aim of standardizing procedures and reducing variations in the production process.
To support this strategy, Incofios has created a corporate university that brings together in-person activities and distance learning. The content ranges from technical aspects of production to topics such as workplace safety and leadership development.
According to Incofios’ Human Resources department, training is integrated into the company’s long-term planning, which includes projections to expand production in the coming years. Continuous training is identified as one of the necessary factors to support this growth, alongside investments in technology.
In addition to operational qualification, the company also maintains programs aimed at the training of managers, focusing on the development of leadership skills and team management.
The initiative reflects a broader movement observed in the textile sector, in which companies have been seeking alternatives to address the shortage of specialized labor. Internal training has emerged as one of the strategies to reduce technical gaps and sustain industrial competitiveness.
